Expect a series of statements today from leading contenders for the 2012 presidential nomination [who think] opposition to stem cell research is a stone-cold winner among conservatives who view it as a slippery slope in the abortion argument.
UPDATE!: Gallup's released a poll on stem-cells:
38% of Americans said they support easing.... restrictions and another 14% said they favor no restrictions at all. About 4 in 10 Americans favor keeping the Bush restrictions or eliminating federal funding altogether.
