DAMAGE CONTROL: Palin travels to attend huge pro-life event after pro-abortion pick

Just one week after appointing pro-abortion and former Planned Parenthood board member Morgan Christen to Alaska's Supreme Court, Gov. Sarah Palin is on the move to restore her pro-life credibility.

.... Among the events Palin will attend is what's described as the nation's largest Right to Life banquet.... Palin will attend the Vanderburgh County Right to Life dinner in Evansville, Ind., on April 16, Stapleton said.

Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele will be a speaker at that "Freedom for Life" banquet, and a major Christian musician, Matthew West, will perform, according to the Web site for the event.

The banquet, established in the late 1980s, has become known nationwide and typically draws around 2,000 people.

Palin supporters have cried "bloody murder" over what some would describe as "bloody murder", claiming that the governor had no choice but to appoint either a pro-abortion nominee or an environmentalist.

The following is a video of how abortions are performed.

Liberals have praised Palin's progressive turn.

.... it appears she has given the proverbial finger to the 16th century Bible thumpers.... She can see which way the wind is blowing and it's not favoring the knuckle dragging base of the Republican party. The rest of the party may figure it out by 2012 which will leave Sarah in a really good position.

The Daily Beast's Elaine Lafferty reports on "Sarah Palin's shocking choice":

"She is opposed to abortion, but it does not inform every decision she makes.... Feminists should be happy."

UPDATE!: If you'll note, Michael Steele is also attending the dinner. Seems to be drawing GOP big-wigs who can't make up their mind on abortion.
