d. Thune got 89 Democrats to vote for his politically popular, climate change legislation; then Barbara Boxer slipped in some language for a new amendment that got 52 Dems to join her, largely negating the force behind Thune's. Corker was one of the 8 Senators to oppose Thune's amendment. But then he also opposed Boxer's. Which means he actually knew what the hell was going on.
