Meek says Crist's being lazy on stimulus application

U.S. Rep and Democratic candidate for the United States Senate, Kendrick Meek, says Gov. Charlie Crist's taking too long to apply for federal education stabilization funds.

A Crist spokesman denies the governor's being tardy.

"An application for the waiver does not yet exist. Governor Crist is working closely with the White House and Secretary Duncan through this process to secure the maximum funding for Florida's students."

To help make the case for the gov., here's a vid from March 31, where Crist explains the process.

Another thought: Might Meek be starting to test out the "Crist's not engaged in his job" line buttressed by the Orlando Sun-Sentinel's report Monday?
