T-Paw to headline Values Voter Summit

The Minnesota Independent says Tim Pawlenty's accepted the Family Research Council's invite to speak at its annual Values Voter Summit this September.

That makes T-Paw the first likely 2012 candidate to accept an invite to the socially conservative gathering.

The Family Research Council says confirmed speakers include John Boehner, Roy Blunt, and Rick Perry, among others.

Invited speakers include Sarah Palin, Bobby Jindal, Mike Huckabee, Mitt Romney, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Rush etc.,

As for what the trip means politically, there's not a whole lot of ideological symbolism, considering T-Paw's close ties to evangelical groups. The story lies in his proactive move to be the first big-prospect to take the conference's bait.
