Thune's campaign manager talks about Sotomayor site

John Thune's new website chronicling the nomination process of Sonia Sotomayor is paid for by his campaign committee, and also solicits funds via a large "Donate" button, so perhaps it's understandable why his campaign manager, Justin Brassell, would explain the .com

“Well, that’s [Sotomayor] one of the hot topics, and it’s been in the news a lot about the nomination. So our view was let’s put it out there and let people see for themselves.”

Brassell also said that, despite the blog's content, his boss still hasn't decided which way to vote.

“I think what Sen. Thune has said is that he’s going to wait and hear what she has to say in the hearings, and how she answers the questioning.”

One more thing.

Head over to the blog, and you'll see Thune branching out into other issues -- there's a link to Thune's campaign pages for issues like cap-and-trade, Card Check, and the Fairness Doctrine, where you can either sign a petition or become a citizen co-sponsor on associated legislation.
