Christie to Palin: No thanks

Republican nominee for New Jersey's governor's mansion, Chris Christie, told an FM radio station in New Jersey today that he won't ask Sarah Palin to come campaign for him during this fall's race.

Philly.Com:

Palin associates say her decision to quit as Alaska governor was partly driven by her wish to help Republican candidates across the country.

But Christie says the failed vice presidential candidate would detract from the New Jersey issues he wants to emphasize.

Not a huge surprise, considering the rampant speculation that his camp was tepid about it, but nevertheless, a sign the Palin brand doesn't carry into New Jersey.

Onto Virginia!
