Due to a last-minute scheduling change, Doug Hoffman couldn't make tonight's Conservative Party dinner, where Mike Huckabee's speaking.
More interesting is the statement Hoffman's campaign put out, explaining the switch.
"This is a 10 month campaign compressed into 4 weeks. Our schedule changes numerous times every day. The Conservative Party is behind us 110% and Gov.
Huckabee all but endorsed us last week on FOX TV. In the last week of the campaign we are focusing on winning over as many voters as possible. So we will be on the road doing just that."
(ea) To muckrake: In the aforementioned appearance on Fox, Huck clearly refused to endorse while talking about his upcoming speech.
.... it is not an endorsement speech. It is an awards speech, and I don't want to get the two confused.
