Jonathan Martin says The Palin to Iowa float yesterday seems to have been (as it sounded) more of a sales push by the Iowa Family Policy Center and the website, Team Sarah.
Palin spokeswoman, Meg Stapleton:
“This is one of more than a thousand requests for the governor's time. This particular invitation arrived late last week. It is under consideration, as so many are, but will be incredibly difficult to attend with her tightly-scheduled book tour underway at that point.”
As an aside, it seems like politics as unusual won't sell well in Iowa if Palin were to head down that path.
A host of political advocacy groups in Iowa say they'd never pony up money for a speaker to visit.
