Rasmussen releases additional numbers from yesterday's 2012 poll, and finds Mike Huckabee beating Mitt Romney 44-%-39% in a head-to-head matchup.
17% are undecided.
And while that number will obviously fluctuate, here's something that might be more stable.
In their head-to-head match-up, the two candidates are essentially even among men while Huckabee leads among women.
If Huck consistently outperforms both Romney and Palin*, he can start building an argument for the general election.
*One example: In Public Policy Polling's most recent survey (pdf), Palin's favorability among women is -19%, while Romney's is -2%, and Huck is +2%.
The month prior, PPP's survey had Huck at +15% among women, Palin -14%, and Romney +1%.
