The AP on the literary ambitions of the Trooper-Gate figure:
A California publicist and two co-authors have terminated a book deal with a former aide of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.
San Diego-based Releve Marketing and PR announced Tuesday it will no longer represent or co-author Frank Bailey's upcoming book "Renegade: Sarah Palin's Hatchet Man."
Christiana Grace, company co-owner and one of the co-authors, says she can't elaborate on the reasons for the termination. But she adds it was not a falling out with Bailey, her close friend since college.
For background on Bailey's role in and dismissal from the Palin Administration, here's Alaska's KTUU in August of 2008:
A high ranking Palin administration official was placed on paid administrative leave Tuesday.
Last week, Gov. Sarah Palin revealed that Frank Bailey, her director of boards and commissions, made phone calls to an Alaska State Trooper. Palin said Bailey's actions may have been perceived as putting pressure on the department to get the governor's former brother in law Trooper Mike Wooten fired.
Bailey was told Tuesday afternoon he wouldn't be coming back to work at the Atwood Building until after a special investigation into the administration's firing of Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan is complete.
