Paul Bedard catches a practical Mike Huckabee today, and if you look back, it's a message Huck has consistently stressed, which interestingly, puts him at odds with one of his natural constituencies -- Glenn Beck fans.
Remember, last week Beck promoted the idea of a third party on Bill O'Reilly's show, and he's consistently pushed the notion that he doesn't have tusks.
Also, now's a good time to bring up Mike Huckabee's July 14 appearance on Greta Van Susteren's show, in which he begged Sarah Palin to stay within party boundaries.
I hope she [Sarah Palin] remains -- let me be real clear -- a part of the Republican Party.
I'm a little concerned when I hear her say that she may sort of branch out and go third party or go independent. That would be a big mistake because we need to rebuild the Republican Party, not abandon it.
