The San Angelo Standard-Times caught up with Mike Huckabee before his book signing in the Texas city yesterday.
Many have told him how his stories have touched their lives, Huckabee said.
Others have said things that came out of the blue. One woman said she had shaved her legs to come see him.
Another leaned over to his companion and said, “Honey, I’m 66 years old and this is the longest I’ve ever waited for a man.”
