Pataki deflects 2012 talk

In a telephone interview with the AP, George Pataki is asked about his potential 2012 ambitions.

"It's way too soon. It really is. We have very important elections coming up in 2010 and it is absolutely critical that we end the one-party rule that we have in Washington. Let's focus on that and then see after that what happens."

Pataki was at a Republican party fundraiser in Bettendorf, Iowa last night.

Hence, the question.

Also, this begins a new thread on GOP12: The "Way too soon" thread, where a potential candidate says 2012 talk is overwhelmingly premature, while doing things like attending fundraisers in Iowa. Bonus points if the candidate says he/she is just focused on the 2010 elections.
