Pawlenty pushes state constitutional amendment

Tim Pawlenty just put the wraps on a press conference where he outlined an amendment to Minnesota's state constitution that would cap spending.

The AP:

[The amendment] would limit spending in a given budget cycle to the revenue the state collected in the previous budget period. Exceptions could be made for public safety and national emergencies.

T-Paw's goal is to get the amendment on next November's ballot.
