It can't be left unsaid that Barack Obama's speech at Fort Hood today showed how difficult he'll be to defeat in 2012. He was everything he should have been.
The caveat is that solemn moments like these are invitations to strip cynicism, rally around a Commander-in-Chief and the country he represents, and remember that the United States makes it possible for D's and R's to fight every day of the week, except those singular moments when time stops.
The real question: Can you see any of the GOP's 2012 prospects giving a similarly moving speech, and if so, which ones?
