A new Gallup poll shows a modest rise in Sarah Palin's favorable ratings since the conclusion of her book tour.
40% of Americans now view her positively, while 44% view her negatively. That might net out at -4%, but it's higher than the -10% she had in an October Gallup poll before the tour.
Notes:
a. Palin favs among Republicans, 79%.
b. Palin favs among indies, 40%.
c. Palin favs among Dems, 21%.
More fascinating is that Hillary Clinton's book tour for her memoir, Living History, actually did more to boost HRC's numbers than Palin's did to boost hers.
And of course, Hillary's ratings continue to thrive.
Politico, yesterday.
A new poll of avid news watchers shows that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has a much higher approval rating than the man she once campaigned against and now works for, President Barack Obama.
....[Polling firm] Clarus [Research Group] president Ron Faucheux said one reason for Clinton’s high poll numbers is her high approval among Republicans – numbers he said position her well to run for president again in the future, if she chooses. Clinton had 96 percent approval among Democrats, a healthy 57 percent approval among Republicans, and 65 percent approval among Independents.
Somewhere Dick Morris is hoping to be vindicated -- he's long speculated that Hillary will run in the 2012 Democratic primary against her boss.
