Ed Koch talks to Heidi Evans about Rudi Giuliani, in advance of the former NYC mayor's 85th b-day.
Q. Speaking of Rudy? What is your relationship with him these days?
A. We have never had difficulty in talking in a very friendly way, in social situations. I have written a book- “Rudy Giuliani, Nasty Man.” I set forth the reasons why….I continue to say that Rudy Giuliani was a good mayor, just a nasty man! He delivered services, but didn’t respect people whose views differed from his.
He came to see me in the hospital. I like him as a human being. Clearly politically we are at odds.
Koch also says the Obama Administration's decision to try some 9/11 detainees in NYC is "outrageous" and "nuts".
