Speaking to The Tampa Tribune editorial board, Crist said he'll propose cutting the corporate income tax rate in Florida from 5.5 percent to 4.5 percent for the first $1 million of taxable income.
He said that will ensure that small businesses, which he said create the most jobs, get a bigger proportion of the benefit of the tax cut. He said it will cost the state about $65 million a year in lost revenue.
The paper also asked him what he thinks about criticism that he's not conservative enough.
"I think it's funny.
I'm a Connie Mack Republican – less taxing, less spending, less government and more freedom."
That would -- I'm guessing -- be Connie Mack III; not Connie Mack IV.
Btw, I did some hard-core investigating, went to Connie Mack the IV's congressional page, and found out that Connie Mack IV has two children -- Addison and, yes, Connie.
