Barbour to South Carolina

There are a couple interesting things in Peter Hamby's story for CNN.

1. The obvious: Haley Barbour is keynoting the Spartanburg County GOP annual President's Day dinner on March 15.

2. Don't read too much into it. Barbour's the head of the RGA, and an unnamed confidante said Barbour calls these type of events 'political recreation'."

That makes sense because in an interview on January 11, Barbour quipped.

"Being governor is my job. And this [being head of the RGA] is my hobby."

3. The chair of the President's Day dinner told CNN that Tim Pawlenty hasn't replied to an invitation to visit, and Mitch Daniels passed because he wanted to focus on being gov for the time being.
