White House press secretary Robert Gibbs poked fun at palm-gate this afternoon.
While pointing to his palm (CNN's report and pic here)....
"I wrote a few things down. I wrote eggs milk and bread, but I crossed out bread just so I can make pancakes for Ethan if it snows. Then I wrote down hope and change just in case I forgot that."
I'm still not sure if the media (and audience) is treating "palm-gate" as a fun diversion or serious stuff. If it's the latter, it diminishes substantive concerns people might have about her playing loose with the -- for example -- death panel un-truth (Krauthammer on that one here).
Gibbs and the White House making fun of Palin and her palm? Losing issue for the administration.
