Last night, a gay-rights protester showered Newt Gingrich with glitter in Minnesota.
After a second, a smiling Newt said:
"It's nice to live in a free country."
A lot of people say this is just another indignity to a troubled campaign, but I think Newt handled it perfectly -- he's calm, funny, and keeps signing books in the glitter, which was not provided by Tiffanys.
