An interesting extract from Jennifer Rubin's interview with Chris Christie.
Has he found a presidential candidate he is willing to back? “Nope.”
He explains: “Campaigns matter. How people perform matters. I know most of them — not Ron Paul, but most of them.” He says has “great respect” for those running.
Still, “nobody yet has stood out that I’d like to get behind.”
He doesn’t rule out the possibility of an endorsement, however. “I’m not a wallflower,” he cracks, promising to speak up if such a candidate comes along.
His tepid endorsement of the field is bound to inspire swift hope from those hoping he'll join the field.
And keep in mind -- he's been courted extensively by '12ers hungry for his endorsement.
Christie's most recent video denial of interest came earlier this month when he said he was 100% certain he wasn't going to run in 2012.
