I wrote last week about the fact that, as his campaign fortunes have dimmed, Newt Gingrich is suddenly talking about his new book a lot.
Well, here he is at it again, on Fox Business, bringing it up, unprompted, in the midst of talk about his campaign.
"I think Iowa is wide-open, I think the whole race is wide-open. We've got a lot of good candidates.
I've been out, talking about my new book -- "A Nation like No Other" -- which is based, by the way, on the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the Founding Fathers, the Federalist papers."
More examples -- all from the same week, and all in separate appearances.
To Bill O'Reilly:
"As you know, I have a new book out, called A Nation Like No Other.
It talks about American exceptionalism -- something you talk about a lot. I happen to think that's integral to the 2012 election.
The consultants all thought it was fluff."
To radio host, Hugh Hewitt, on NBC's decision to edit out "Under God" from the Pledge of Allegiance.
"I must say that my book, A Nation Like No Other, becomes dramatically more relevant after NBC’s decision."
And during a recent explanation of why his staff left.
"My style is to write books -- I just produced a new book called A Nation Like No Other."
