This afternoon, Jon Huntsman's campaign said that he'll make a "major announcement" tomorrow morning in Coconut Grove, Florida.
Already, speculation is building that it's going to be an endorsement.
First, it's gotta be a big one.
You don't say "major announcement" unless you're doing something really big or unless you're Rick Santorum.
Second, it's reasonable to guess that it could be a Florida politician, thanks to the setting. Of course, Huntsman's headquarters are in Florida, but they're in Orlando; not Coconut Grove.
So if it's an endorsement and a Florida politician, that leaves you with Rick Scott, Marco Rubio, and Jeb Bush as the only possibilities.
Hurricanes are more popular in Florida than Scott right now, and Rubio has promised he'll stay neutral in the primaries.
That leaves Jeb.
And think about this -- in June, Jeb Bush Jr. endorsed Huntsman, and there are other political connections, as well.
I don't think it'll happen, but I can see why it could.
UPDATE: Reportedly, not.
