Mitt Romney tells Sean Hannity why he's not competing in Saturday's straw poll in Ames, Iowa.
"I want to use my financial resources and my time, this time, to actually get delegates -- not just straw polls that are nice but don't get you delegates.
So I'm not going to participate in straw polls anywhere in the country.... straw polls -- I've been there, had that experience, learned from it, and we're going to start to get the nomination, this time."
Here's a little thought. Imagine Romney competing in the Iowa straw poll -- if he actually placed above Pawlenty, that would probably sink T-Paw and ensure Mitt wouldn't have to worry about him in New Hampshire or anyplace down the road.
But evidently, Team Romney thinks the quick KO is too much of a risk.
