Cheney: Palin hasn't "adequately explained" her resignation

Dick Cheney talking about Sarah Palin, on the Laura Ingraham show.

"I've never gotten around the question of her having left the governorship of Alaska, mid-term. I've never heard that adequately explained."

That's the most serious challenge she faces in persuading voters she's capable of being president.

On a national stage, she could work to confront other stereotypes about her -- that she's not smart, that she doesn't know much about policy -- but her resignation will always be there as something very tangible and substantive.

Comes about 24 minutes in.
