Romney will skip California GOP convention

Mitt Romney is in California on Friday, but not for the opening of the state's GOP convention. Instead, he'll be fundraising.

One possible reason for the snub? The state has moved its February primary all the way back to June.

If you remember, California played a critical role in finally knocking Romney out of the 2008 primary after he lost by 8% to McCain.

Romney leads Perry by 8% in the latest Field Poll of the state, but both candidates lose to Obama by double-digits.
