Rove: Bush and Perry are "very close"

Karl Rove, once again beating back reports of a feud between the Bushes and Rick Perry.

"Look, here's the deal. All I've seen between the two men is graciousness... they're very close."

Rove continues.

"The spat of stories a couple of weeks ago that said 'Bush never wanted Perry to win'. Where did that come from?"

Probably from the fact that George H.W. Bush endorsed Kay Bailey Hutchison over Perry, as did Dick Cheney, while Karen Hughes and Rove himself served as "informal advisers", in Hutchison's bid to unseat Perry, according to the Dallas Morning News.
