Donald Trump, on whether Mitt Romney asked for his endorsement during their meeting last night.
"I think it comes up with all the candidates that have come up, and frankly, I understand it, and I don't think it's the way I say it. I think it's what I say."
So far, Trump has huddled with Sarah Palin, Rick Perry, and now Mitt Romney. Herman Cain is on tap next week.
I genuinely had no idea that we'd still be seeing Trump -- on TV, talking by phone, as always -- at this point in the campaign after his birther crusade was discredited.
