On CNN today, Jon Huntsman ripped Mitt Romney for being a "perfectly lubricated weathervane" and accused Herman Cain of being a "flavor of the month."
Both are familiar with those attacks, but as Dave Weigel noted today, it's been one month since Sarah Palin called Cain the "flavor of the week", and since then he's jumped from 5.5% in the RCP average to 25%.
I still think Cain peaked just before the Bloomberg economic debate in New Hampshire. That was the big moment to show he knew what his 9-9-9 plan was all about, but instead he just cracked some jokes near the beginning and disappeared as the night wore on.
