Sarah Palin gave Herman Cain her highest compliment last night on Fox News.
"Herman Cain is not a politician. He has the business acumen and that background in the private sector, knowing how to create jobs and meet a bottom line and understanding the work ethic. He's pulled himself up from the bootstraps.
That's that Americana story that so many of us are intrigued with and impressed with. So look forward to hearing more details about Herman Cain's 9-9-9 program."
There are a lot of Palin supporters wondering if she'll endorse Cain.
I think she'll ultimately end up backing her friend, Rick Perry. Her endorsement alone wouldn't be enough to give Herman Cain the nomination, but it could play a role in consolidating tea party support behind Perry and giving him an edge over Romney.
Just don't expect her to back anyone soon. Jim DeMint has openly said he's waiting on endorsing someone to ensure his check mark has maximum impact in the heat of a primary. Palin will probably do the same.
