Earlier today, John DiStaso reported that NH state Rep. Norman Major was switching his endorsement from Rick Perry to Mitt Romney.
Now, James Pindell reports that another political figure -- the social conservative Maureen Mooney -- is also turning on Perry for Romney.
And, just like Major, she cites Perry's bad debate performances as a factor.
"[Mitt Romney] demonstrates a sharpness in every debate we have seen him in that will match up well against Barack Obama. That is precisely what we need.”
The bonus, fun fact? Earlier this year, she made a personal visit to Texas to try to get Perry to run.
The extra bonus, fun fact? Both she and Perry will be at a fundraising dinner tonight.
