Gingrich: Romney attacks would backfire

Newt Gingrich, telling David Brody that any attacks from Mitt Romney will, ultimately, fail.

David Brody: “You have taken the high road in all of these debates, but now your co-front runner -- let's face it -- the Romney campaign might start, Mitt Romney might start to say things against you. What do you do with that?”

Newt Gingrich: “You relax, and know that it's hurting him.

There's no evidence that shows that reaching out and putting his hand on Rick Perry's shoulder did him any good.
