Newt Gingrich, quoted by the WSJ, after being told that Mitt Romney's campaign itself has released a searing new web ad on him.
“It’s actually a campaign ad? Oh goody."
Romney has been mostly relying* on a Super PAC supporting him to attack Gingrich -- a dynamic Newt has been trashing.
So Mitt's decision to finally put his name behind something searing is a departure and reflective of Newt's comeback.
*Sure, legally they can't coordinate but remember this graphic from Fox News about the pro-Romney Super PAC?
