Punctuated by this comment, Chris Cillizza makes a very good case that Mike Huckabee could have beaten Romney.
Huckabee’s natural folksiness oozes populism as, it’s worth nothing, do his struggles with his own weight.
Can you imagine what Huckabee would have done if Romney tried to make a $10,000 bet with him during a debate?
Huck could've definitely won the nomination, but it's important not to underestimate how intensely conservative intellectuals would've gone after his record.
