Sarah Palin unleashed a sharp broadside last night on Fox News against last week's popular narrative that Newt Gingrich and Ronald Reagan were like warring Colombian drug cartels.
"Enough was enough when I started seeing this rewritten history about Newt Gingrich's relationship with Ronald Reagan and the Reagan revolution in the '70's and in the '80's.
How he, under Reagan and Reagan's advisers -- their tutelage -- how it was able to shape Newt Gingrich.... When I saw that rewritten by some in the establishment, I said, for what it's worth, I'm going to voice my opposition to that false narrative being rewritten."
She finished by drilling her point in further.
"Enough was enough of the lies were being told about Newt Gingrich and his relationship with Ronald Reagan."
If you remember, there were loads of articles written last week, ranging from claims that Newt hardly made an impression on Reagan to Newt being downright insolent to the Gipper.
The unifying factor was that Newt looked bad in nearly every piece that got significant play.
