Mitt Romney jabbed Newt Gingrich on Fox News this morning for the tactic.
"By the way, it's very easy to talk down to the moderator.
The moderator asks the question, and then has to sit by and take whatever you send to them. And Speaker Gingrich has been wonderful at attacking the moderators and attacking the media. That's always a very favorite response for the home-crowd. But it's very different to have candidates go against candidates.
That's something I'll be doing against President Obama if I get the chance to be our nominee."
Newt has hit moderators of debates consistently -- to great effect with both the audience in the hall and crowd on TV.
