Santorum defends Romney over Bain

On Fox News last night, Rick Santorum lent a helping hand to his rival, Mitt Romney, over attacks on his tenure at Bain Capital.

"This is capitalism.

.... the idea that we're going to go out and say that destructive capitalism, as well as constructive capitalism -- we're only for 1/2. That's not how capitalism works.

Businesses fail."

A bit later, he added.

"I just don't think as a conservative and someone who believes in business that we should be out there playing the games that the Democrats play, saying somehow capitalism is bad."

Some might think that Santorum is trying to curry favor with Romney to be VP, but I think Santorum is just -- surprise -- being conservative and staying true to his ideals even though everyone else is piling on Mitt (I can't believe I just wrote that. Santorum is the most incessant attack dog out there, and has absolutely hammered Romney, in the past).
