A new Rasmussen poll shows Barack Obama wresting control of Virginia from Mitt Romney by a surprising margin, 49%-43%.
Romney has led in the key swing state for much of this cycle, and most have assumed it leans red going into fall. The question is whether this makes Bob McDonnell that much more of an attractive VP pick.
Just as ominously for Romney, Obama now leads nationally, 49%-39%.
Rasmussen has shown the two locked nearly all cycle, but as of late Barack Obama's been pulling ahead, and now his lead has ballooned to 49%-39% over Mitt Romney.
Obama also leads Rick Santorum, 49%-41%.
