On Fox News tonight, Ron Paul trashed speculation that he's formed an alliance with Mitt Romney for the sake of his son, Rand's, political career.
BRET BAEIR: How much does your son's political future factor into your maneuvers in this race?
PAUL: We don't talk about it, and we don't think about it. I have my job, and he has his job, and that just doesn't seem to be appropriate.
.... the last thing I've done is talked to Mitt Romney. Besides, he wouldn't talk to me about that. That's just fiction, and it's mostly been promoted by somebody, I guess, who's super involved in conspiracy theories. That's Santorum doing that.
But it doesn't make any sense at all.... my son can take care of himself. He doesn't need me to make deals for himself. That's the last thing in the world that I would think about doing.
