Santorum: "I'm not going to be whining" about Fox News

On Fox News tonight, Greta Van Susteren gave Rick Santorum a "good-hearted jab" for claiming, earlier today, that Fox News shills for Mitt Romney.

Santorum, clearly on the defensive, wouldn't name names for Van Susteren tonight; instead, reserving his attack for the "news coverage that goes on in that network."

"Greta, you've been awesome, and Sean [Hannity] has been awesome. You know, when I was talking Fox News, I wasn't talking your show or Sean's show.... your two shows have been exemplar, and I appreciate that and even some of the afternoon shows.

.... Look, I'm just looking at the news coverage that goes on in that network and the amount of domination of time that Governor Romney and his surrogates get on the air.... I'm not complaining, I'm not going to be whining about this. That's the reality. We've had to deal with it."

So how does he plan to deal with this alleged bias?

"Our feeling is we're just going to go out and overcome this. We've overcome a lot in this race."

Earlier today, Santorum's claim of bias came on Brian Kilmeade's radio show .

SANTORUM: He's [Romney] had a 10:1 money advantage. He's had all the organizational advantages, he has Fox News shilling for him everyday. No offense, Brian, but I see it.

[Later]

KILMEADE: Senator, I just gotta take you on Fox News shilling for Mitt Romney 24 hours a day?

I totally disagree with that. I think you've been on -- you can feel the way you want. I'm just telling you there's no way I agree with that, and you've been on as much as anybody.

SANTORUM: I can tell you we watch the coverage there, and you know, look, you guys are allowed to cover what you want to cover, but I can tell you that we want to make sure that a conservative is nominated.

.... we're going to focus on not mathematics.

KILMEADE: [interrupting] You don't want us to add up delegates?
