Hey, if Russian Roulette has become a somewhat pedestrian exercise, you might want to try cutting an ad for Dick Lugar for your thrills.
That's exactly what Mitch Daniels has just done in a move trying to boost Lugar's faltering reelection hopes against conservative challenger, Richard Mourdock.
If Daniels ever does want to run for president, this is going to hurt him (remember Santorum's support for Specter?) To be sure, Lugar is more conservative than Specter, but he's still widely-disliked by conservatives.
Can't you just imagine this Daniels line being used against Mitch in a presidential primary?
"We're lucky to have Dick Lugar."
