Rubio threatened, gets police protection

The Hill's Meghashyam Mali writes:

Capitol Police and the West Miami Police Department are investigating a threat against Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and have provided him with additional police protection.

A police cruiser was parked outside the senator's home in West Miami, Fla., according to the Miami Herald, which first reported the news.

Neither law enforcement agency has commented on the report, but Rubio's office confirmed on Tuesday that the senator was the target of a threat, the Herald reported.

Just wanted to say -- there's no indication that Bob McDonnell was in any way, shape, or form involved in the threat against his biggest Veep competition.
