ABC reports on the informal, unsurprising nod.
“I’m for Mitt Romney,” Bush told ABC News this morning as the doors of an elevator closed on him, after he gave a speech on human rights a block from his old home — the White House.
So this makes it complete. Jeb, George Senior, and George W. have all backed Romney.
None did it under remotely courageous circumstances and none was a surprise (in fact, it was notable how long it took Jeb to finally weigh in. He formally announced his support after Romney's Illinois win effectively sealed the nomination for him).
It'll be interesting to see if Bush campaigns for Romney in the general, and if so, where and how. My guess is that neither Bush nor Romney is anxious for a political pairing.
