Newt Gingrich, on the Laura Ingraham show today, via The Daily Caller.
“Look, I talk regularly with the Romney folks.
I’m helping him in a number of places. I’m doing an event next week in Georgia for him and I’m going to speak for him at the Georgia convention next weekend. I’m going to be with him at the end of the month in Las Vegas at a big event, and I’m going to do all I can to help Mitt.”
We'll see what the details actually look like. I can't imagine there'd be too many side-by-side shots, considering that in February, polls suggested he was one of the most unpopular political figures in America.
Newt does, though, seem to have a much more cheerful disposition toward Romney and fewer demands than Rick Santorum.
"My endorsement for Romney is very positive and very aggressive.... I told them if I’m useful, I’ll be glad to speak at the convention. If they don’t think it’s useful, I won’t speak there. That’s their call."
