McDonnell Death Watch!

This #HeadDesk moment is brought to you by those spinning a dire yarn yesterday about Bob McDonnell after his approval dropped to +21%.

To wit:

a. "VA Gov. McDonnell Approval Rating drops."

b. "New poll shows Governor's approval rating dropping."

c. "Virginians less optimistic about McDonnell....."

d. "VA's McDonnell sees disapproval rating climb."

e. "Va. Gov. McDonnell Approval Rating drops", and it begins "Troubled waters lurk for Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell"; then links to the story.

Keep in mind -- every one of these headlines was a reaction to the same poll showing McDonnell's approval rating at 56%/35%.

To be sure, that was down from 62%, but those are numbers most governors can only dream of.
