Obama goes positive in new spots

Barack Obama is out with two, new ads as part of his $25 million May ad buy. The spots will run in Nevada, Ohio, Colorado, Florida, North Carolina, Iowa, and Virginia.

The first focuses on military benefits, mentions the Osama bin Laden killing, and includes this comment.

"It's not enough to just make a speech about how we value veterans."

I could be wrong, but that sounds like an attempt to fight back against the idea that four years later, he's still primarily about lofty rhetoric that doesn't ultimately produce results.

The next focuses on health care and, specifically, Medicare.

Obama is especially likable in the veterans ad, and it's probably smart to include spots like this to supplement the growing array of Bain attacks.
