Mitt Romney has his biggest lead in a Rasmussen tracking poll since, well, forever. He's up on Barack Obama 50%-43%, and that's also the first time he's hit 50% in a head-to-head with Obama.
Hurting Obama -- his job approval is 37%/48%.
This is probably a bit of an outlier, but there does seem to be positive movement for Romney in other polls. To wit: Gallup's tracking poll has had Romney up this whole month, and he's cut Obama's lead to 1% in the RCP average.
The question is whether a slight but real Romney lead is a new normal now that the primary is over or whether this is just a reflection of a tough week for Obama that started with last week's bad jobs report.
