Romney adviser "very pleased" with state of the race

Mitt Romney's adviser, Eric Fehrnstrom, on Fox News today, responding to a new Washington Post/ABC poll showing his boss and Barack Obama tied on handling the economy.

"We're very pleased with the state of the race. You know, Mitt Romney came out of a pretty bruising set of primaries and before we even started our general election argument against Barack Obama, he's tied in the polls -- most likely ahead.

So we're excited about that."
